This too shall pass away

큰 슬픔이 거센 강물처럼 네 삶에 밀려와
마음의 평화를 산산조각 내고
가장 소중한 것들을 네 눈에서
영원히 앗아갈 때면 네 가슴에 대고 말하라 
 
" 이것 또한 지나가리라 " 
 
끝없이 힘든 일들이
네 감사의 노래를 멈추게 하고
기도하기에도 너무 지칠때면
이 진실의 말로 하여금
네 마음에서 슬픔을 사라지게 하고
힘겨운 하루의 무거운 짐을 벗어나게 하라 
 
" 이것 또한 지나가리라 " 
 
행운이 너에게 미소 짓고
하루 하루가 환희와 기쁨으로 가득 차
근심 걱정 없는 날들이 스쳐갈 때면
세속의 기쁨에 젖어 안식하지 않도록
이 말을 깊이 생각하고 가슴에 품어라 
 
" 이것 또한 지나가리라 " 
 
너의 진실한 노력이 명예와 영광
그리고 지상의 모든 귀한 것들을
네게 가져와 웃음을 선사할 때면
인생에서 가장 오래 지속될 일도,
가장 웅대한 일도 지상에서 잠깐 스쳐가는
한순간에 불과함을 기억하라 
 
" 이것 또한 지나가리라 "

Remember that life's longest, grandest story
Fills but a moment in earth's little while:
