The old home town looks the same ​ as I step down from the train, ​ and there to meet me is my Mama  and Papa. ​ Down the road I look and there runs Mary  hair of gold and lips like cherries. ​ It's good to touch  The green, green grass of home. ​ Yes, they'll all come to meet me,  arms are reaching, smiling sweetly. ​ It's good to touch  The green, green grass of home. ​ The old house is still standing, ​ Though the paint is cracked and dry, ​ And there's that old oak tree  That I used to play on. ​ Down the lane I walk with my sweet Mary  Hair of gold and lips like cherries.​  It's good to touch  the green, green grass of home.​	그 옛 고향마을은 변함이 없어 보이는구나.  열차에서 내려서 보니 ​ 저 편에 날 보러 마중나와 계시고 ​ 어머니와 아버지께서도 ​ 길 아래쪽을 보니 메리가 달려오고 있네.  금발의 머리와 체리같은 입술의  이렇게 만지니 너무나 좋네  푸르고 푸른 고향의 잔디를​  그래, 모두 나를 만나러 오네,  두 팔을 내밀고 밝게 웃으며  만져보니 너무나 좋은 걸  푸르고 푸른 고향의 잔디를 ​ 내가 살았던 옛집도 여전히 건재하네 ​ 비록 칠은 갈라지고 색도 바랬지만  그 옛 떡갈나무도 그대로 있고...​ ​ 내가 올라가 놀던 ​ 오솔길을 따라 내 사랑 메리와 걷는다네  금발의 머리와 선홍색 입술의  이렇게 좋은 것을  고향의 푸른 잔디를 밟으니​
